Rebeca is happy to announce that she was accepted to the MFA Program in Experimental Choreography at the University of California, Riverside. She will be starting the program on Fall of 2015.

Rebeca will be presenting Memorias for DanceSTORM. DanceSTORM is a dance festival geared towards fostering a network between and creating visibility for a diverse group of women directors in experimental dance and performance.
The event will be held over two days on Friday June 26th and Saturday June 27th 2015 in downtown Riverside at host-site Barbara and Art Culver Center of the Arts with performances each evening from 5-6:30 PM.
Rebeca will be presenting Memorias de un No Abrazo alongside choreography by Louie Cornejo, Laurel Jenkins and Rachel Lopez. The dance makers squeeze thirteen explosive dancers into these intimate cafe surroundings to realize an eclectic range of movement artistry. All the performances are free. See more than one show and check out the cool cafes! The dances may be a little different in each locale, too . . . .
On February of 2015 Hernandez will be curating a series of performance art and dance shows in Mexicali, Mexico and San Diego State University/ IV Campus. She will invite L.A-based performance artists Dino Dinco and Rafa Esparza to respond artistically to the Ayotzinapa events that took place in Guerrero, Mexico this past September. No Dejen de Buscarme will premiere here. The performance will take place at the Steppling Art Gallery of San Diego State University/Imperial Valley Campus in Calexico, California as well as in an empty lot in Mexicali- hosted by the art venue Escritorio de Procesos. The Q and A for the Mexicali performance will take place at the headquarters of Escritorio de Procesos.

Curator Amy Converse has invited Rebeca and Victoria Wolfe to choreograph and perform a new piece at Mack Sennett Studios in Hollywood for Beasts; with visual artists Candice Lin and Marina Roy. Performance, exhibition and feast will take place August 23 at 7pm.
Rebeca will be perfroming Memorias de un No Abrazo on Friday August 8th at 5pm and on Saturday August 9th at 12pm for Made in L.A 2014 as part of James Kidd Studio Gold Stage at the courtyard of the Hammer Museum.
Memorias de un No Abrazo premiered in Mexico for the dance festival Performatica on April 2014.
Rebeca will be performing a choreography at The Unfinished, an obelisk-shaped piece by the L.A River. The performance will take place on Sunday August 4th at 6:45pm. This performance is in collaboration with performance artist Rafa Esparza.

Rebeca was selected to participate in Foro Performatica in Puebla in April 2014. She will be teaching, performing and showing her short dance film, Jaripeo Cabaret.
Foro Performatica is an event that brings an international group of practicing dancers, choreographers, theorists and teachers of movement based work.
